Staying healthy and getting fit is always a good thing. This month, how about a round of Tennis? Plettenberg Bay Country Club offers ‘Saturday socials’ every Saturday. A R40 fee for non-members covers a ball levy, teas and drinks. All visitors are welcome from 1:30pm onwards for a great afternoon with the friendly members of the club. Garden Route Biosphere Meet
Of all the things to do in Plettenberg Bay, this event underlines the importance of having a rich diverse landscape – after all, if there is no outdoor environment there will be no activities to enjoy. If you care about the environment, or are interested in the natural conservation of the Garden Route consider attending the Garden Route Biosphere Reserve public meetings in Plettenberg Bay. The meetings are designed as a public forum to discuss the information made available regarding the planned Biosphere for the Garden Route. Garden Route SPCA Golf Day 2015
If you’re a golfing enthusiast and enjoy a bit of holiday golfing, then this event is for you. (Find out the reasons why golfing holidays are so popular). Make a note that on the 19th August the SPCA Invitational Charity Golf Day 2015 happens in Knysna. The venue is the Montagu and Outeniqua Golf Club. Tee off is 9:30am and all golfing levels are welcome. All proceeds go to support the Garden Route SPCA. Taste of The Country – Cross Country
Looking for things to do in Plettenberg Bay that incorporate the countryside? Quarry Lake Equestrian Estate in Plett is the place to be on the 9th of August. Jenny Pope will give cross country tuition over individual cross country jumps of 40-50cms and/or 60-70cms. Organic Vegan lunch is included while your horse is safe and secure in a supervised paddock. The organic veggies are grown on the grounds and the bread is baked on site, in the farm kitchen.
