The Sasfin Plett Wine and Bubbly Festival, Robberg Xpress Trail Run, and the Corridor MTB Tour promise to keep life lively & energetic.
Sasfin Plett Wine and Bubbly Festival
Pop the cork! It’s time for sipping bubbly and clinking glasses on the beach. There’s nothing to touch Plett wine! Join ten local vineyards as they showcase Plett wine and bubbly against the backdrop of Central Beach in Plett. International house-brand Piper-Heidsieck will also be valuable for sampling (official Champagne of The Oscars). Leading up to the Plett wine weekend is an entire week of sporting events and activities relating to the festival. Have a look at last year’s video. Date: 09 and 10 October 2015. The Robberg Xpress Trail Run
If you’ve missed the entries for this year’s tough expert trail run, late entries can be made on Friday 2nd October at The Table on Main Street in Plett from 4pm – 7pm. Please note this is a technical run and therefore the 10km is strictly 16 years and older, the 5km run is 12 years and older (8-11years if accompanied by an adult). There will be yummy food and drink stalls as well as barbecue/braai facilities at the venue. Take the whole family for a day of beautiful scenery and people-watching. Venue: Robberg Nature Reserve. Corridor MTB Tour
This mountain bike tour creates awareness for the Wild Brand and its conservation mission. Enjoy incredible scenery, wildlife and an exhilarating ride through nature. All funds raised go to SANParks and Wild to assist in the preservation of South Africa’s national assets. 5 day ride with overnight camps (already set up) where one can indulge in cold beverages, food and fireside banter. The tour covers a distance of 400km’s over the 5 day period. The event is all about the experience and riders will be seeded into groups based on pace and comfort level. Knysna Flower Festival
Join The Garden Route Floral Art Club of Knysna as they put on a spectacular display at the Little Church in the grounds of St. George’s church on Main Street. There will also be a tea garden held each day as well as a raffle and lovely prizes – all are welcome. Dates: 02/10/2015 to 04/10/2015. Knysna Arts Festival
Due to the success of the previous arts festival – this four day art event will include various aspects of art and culture at various intimate venues around Knysna. Visual arts, performing arts, readings, talks and debates – all promise to inspire creativity. Live art demo’s and a variety of workshops will also be available. Dates: 07/10/2015 to 10/10/2015.
