Pink Loerie Mardis Gras & Arts Festival, Knysna
Join in the fun and celebration at South Africa’s most fabulous annual LGBTI festival, taking place from the 27th April until the 1st May 2016. The theme of this year’s Mardi Gras is ‘Young at heart and never been kissed’. Now in it’s 16th year, this year the Mardis Gras hosts the first mass same-sex marriage. Bitou Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS) Plett Live Theatre
If you’re looking for entertainment (and to give to a good cause), then BATS Plett Live Theatre has the perfect play for you to enjoy. Contemporary playwright, David Summers’ Annie One, Two, Three promises to be a unique mystery with a plot based on fact. This intriguing ‘who dunnit’ runs from Tuesday 12th April to Saturday 16 April in the St Peter’s Church Hall. As in the past, all proceeds (after costs) are donated to PAWS. 7 Passes Mountain Bike Race, George to Knysna
Calling all MTB fanatics – this is THE event not to be missed. Starting at the King George Hotel on the 30th April and ending at the Knysna waterfront on the 1st May. Stats: mainly dirt mountain roads, 3 water points daily, medical backup and vehicular sweeps to ensure your safety and communication throughout. Day one is an 83km route or start at the halfway mark, 36km. Please note: only riders who participate in the 2 day event are eligible to enter the tour back on Monday. Natural Building Course, Crags – Plett
Ever dreamed of building your own sustainable home? Taking place at the Wild Spirits Backpacking Lodge in Nature’s Valley, this CPD accredited course runs from the 17th-23rd April. Learn hands-on natural building skills, earth theory, site layout and more. Learn about cob, straw bale and more interesting building materials.
