The area between Knysna & Plettenberg Bay is nature’s playground. In addition to scenic drives, boat trips on the Knysna lagoon & beautiful forest and coastal walks, there are several superb wildlife reserves and sanctuaries.

These include: Knysna Elephant Park, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Buffalo Hills & Plettenberg Game Reserves, Tenikwa Wild Cat Park, Noah’s Park Wolf Sanctuary, Eagle Encounters & Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary. A day trip to the ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn, the magnificent Cango Caves or the Tsitsikamma National Park will prove unforgettable.

Sailing, kayaking, surfing, fishing, hiking, mountain & quad biking, horse riding & paragliding. Pezula, Simola, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Goose Valley & George golf courses are all within easy reach.

Terms and Conditions

1. A 30% non-refundable deposit will be required to secure all bookings.

2. Full payment must be received by us at least 4 weeks prior to arrival.

3. The 30% security deposit will be returned within 30 days of the end of the booking. Customers should leave the accommodation as they found it in a tidy and orderly fashion and are liable for breakages and damage caused during their stay including but not restricted to the value of the breakage deposit.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations up to 14 days prior to booking 50% of the booking fee will be refunded.

The property’s location could not be better. Occupying an elevated but sheltered north-facing position at the top of Knysna’s Eastern Head, it offers uninterrupted views across the lagoon, Leisure Isle and Featherbed Nature Reserve to the Outeniqua Mountains beyond.

Arranged on 3 floors, Eagle House is comfortably furnished, very well equipped and offers flexible accommodation:

The main residence, on the top 2 floors, can sleep 9 people in 4 bedrooms.

On the lower floor there is a self-contained apartment which opens up onto the deck and pool area – which sleeps 2 further guests.

The main residence can be booked on it’s own or with the apartment – the apartment cannot be booked individually.

The bright, sunny main residence comprises:

Street-level entrance hall with guest toilet and study, leading to: Spacious living/dining/lounge area

The huge kitchen & laundry room offers every modern convenience, including 5-ring gas hob (plus separate 2-ring gas hob next to prep. sink) double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster & ample cooking utensils, cutlery & crockery. The adjoining utility room contains a washing machine and extra storage space.

The adjoining dining area comfortably seats 6 people and leads to the verandah with its breathtaking lagoon views.

The comfortable lounge has sofas, armchairs, coffee table, TV (with DSTV) & DVD.

As the verandah enjoys a sheltered north-facing aspect, it’s the ideal spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the scenery. In addition to sun loungers, there’s an outside dining table & 6 chairs, plus a built-in braai.

A door from the laundry area leads to an impressively large games room with pool table, darts board, bar, upholstered bench seating and dining table – perfect for children’s hobbies or family board games. This sun-filled room also enjoys marvelous views.

The 3 well furnished bedrooms are situated on the lower floor. The Master bedroom has a queen bed, plenty of wardrobe/storage space and large en suite bathroom (with bath & separate shower), dressing table and its own north-facing verandah. There is access from the master suite to a kitchenette, “children’s room” with 3 single beds and shower room with toilet

Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, fitted wardrobes & dressing table. Bedroom 3, which can be made up with a king bed or twin beds, also has wardrobes and dressing table. These 2 rooms share an adjacent bath/shower room and a separate toilet.

Bedroom 4 has 3 single beds, a kitchenette and shower room (ideal for children or young adults).

Eagle Apartment

Located on a 3rd level below the main residence is a 1-bedroom self-contained apartment overlooking the pool – ideal for grandparents, a maid or nanny or teenagers.

In addition to a twin/king bedroom with wardrobes & dressing table, there’s a small open-plan kitchen/diner with 2-ring electric hob & oven, fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, dining table & portable braai.

The lounge area has a 2-seater sofa, armchairs, coffee table and TV (with DSTV).

NB. The apartment may be rented in addition to the villa but not on its own.


A new 5m x 2.5m swimming pool with surrounding deck is located directly outside the apartment – accessed from the main house via external steps. Enjoying all-day sunshine and spectacular views, it’s sure to be a winner with all guests!

There are uncovered parking bays in front of the garage for 2 vehicles by the entrance to Eagle House.
