Yesterday was a real car lovers delight – the Knysna Classic and Sports Car Show.
I am not sure of the official numbers but it certainly looked like a very good turn out.
The sun shone brightly on all the newly buffed cars but the wind was less kind. But even a brisk breeze could not dampen the excitement.
From very old classic to a huge turnout of MG’s to Ferraris to the latest offerings from top manufactures, you could gaze wide eyed at them all.
Knysna’s own modern classics were also on show – the Cooper Healy – as built by the Cooper family of Knysna Motor Strippers, they looked very good I must say.
The Knysna Animal Welfare sold boerewors rolls to raise funds and awareness and Mitchell’s Brewery set up the essential beer tent. Children were not forgotten and there was even a play area.
Put a marker in your diary for next years event, it is a must for all ages.
The Simola Hill Climb runs from 16 – 18 May 2014 (next weekend) and the car loving madness is sure to continue.
